Low poly nail art!

Hello!
How is your summer going? Today I have a brand new nail art to show you!
You all know I am obsessed over gometric pattern and they are my favourite in nail art!
So I end up picking stamping plates with these designs and I never get tired of them! So here is another wonderful stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.

It is on sale now and you can have it for only 2.99. You can buy it at this link or search code # 39713
http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-stamping-template-geometry-figure-rectangle-manicure-nail-image-plate-l070-p-39713.html

It comes in a beautiful paper sleeve and  measures (125x65 mm). It also has a plastic backing for easy, comfortable handling and a protective nylon screen.(It has to be removed before use).

The stamping technique is a huge help if you want to achieve a perfect geometric pattern, hand free drawing will be very difficult and time consuming.
This plate has so many options that I did not know where to start. It has 7  bigger pattern and the stamping plate offers an awesome array of  smaller 3D graphics and modern abstract designs .
This second half of the plate is very intersting because it replicate the "low poly" style:  is a polygon mesh in 3D computer graphics that has a relatively small number of polygons. This angular, faceted look will continue to show up outside the gaming world, in web and print projects, stationery and fashion. (A dedicated nail art will be coming soon).

In my opinion geometric patterns combine very well with bright and light colours. So as base I did a marble nails art with pastels colours.
This is before:

and after:

A great result with such a tiny effort. The options are endless with this plate.  The amount of designs are worth getting this plates, and they stamp beautifully. I was so surprised to see the intricate detail that is taken with each plate, and the entire design picks up very well.

You can mix and match different pattern as I did or just use one as an accent nails or a minimalistic style in monochrome.
I hope you like it!

Around the world! Old postcard nail art!

Hello there!

Summer is the best time of the year to go travel the world! The only side effect of travelling is that it ends soon and you'll be back home with only photos to look back on!
But why don't we use our nails as a nice reminder of our trip around the world?!

That's what I thought when I saw this little wonderful stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.

You can find it at this link for only 1.59 usd :http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-round-stamping-plate-globe-scenic-spot-travel-55cm-nail-image-plate-p-39697.html

At the center of the plate there is a Earth design it is surronded by a landscape with all the most famous monument from all over the world: there is the Tour Eiffel, the Coloseum, the Statue of Liberty, The Big Ben and many more. There all also smaller travel inspired deisgn such as trains, airplane, luggage etc...

I already did some landscapes nail art (link)so I wanted to try something different.

I was inspired by an old illustrated atlas and some old post cards.
As base I used a cream colour nail polish and I created some stains with acrylic paint in grey and browm, then I stamped with a brown nail polish.

The result is very unique and with no effort because the plate is very well engraved and the images are so detailed that they tranfer very easly.
You can pick your favourite monument or only use the map design, as you can see I used both.

You can also create a nail art with all the places you would like to visit in the future! I'm sure this will bring you good luck!

Where have you been this summer? Let me know in a comment!

Iridescent flakies nail art!

Hello!
Today I have a super flakie nail art!
Flakies are big trend now in nail art. They appear years ago in some nail polish, they usually were released has temporary collection and often advertised as "special effect" polishes. for example I own a very old polish from the brand Deborah that was claimed as a 3d effect, but it was only a clear polish with flakies. These were all beautiful polishes but all very expensive.
Now the flakie nail art is a big thing and flakies are sold in powder form so you can have small jars full of wonderful and sparkling flakies at a small price! Isn't that wonderful?

When Alice form Born Pretty Store contacted me for a collaboration I was very eager to try  these flakies.

You can find them at this link http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-chameleon-cloud-paillette-iridescent-flakies-powder-irregular-nail-sequins-flakes-p-39759.html for 2.59 usd. For this nail art I used colour number 2. They are available in many colours. All colours shift is amazing under any kind of light!

The product comes in a jar with a nice sponge apllicator. You will get approx. 2 gr of product.

As base I used black but you can play with your imagination and try different colours combination.
What I like about these flakies is that they are very very thin.   These flakes are extremely lightweight and instantly airborne upon opening the jar. They will get everywhere if you are not careful, we don't want to waste this magic product!

Here is a video to show you how simple is to use this flakies and how spectacular and vibrant is the result!

Boho chic nails

Boho chic is a fashion trend that is a mix of bohemian and chic. It is part of the vintage phenomenom in fashion where the trend was to bring back old  styles for the modern era. Boho chic combines organic, colorful, detailed, folk-inspired  induments with simple, modern pieces.
Sunshine and summertime activities always bring out my inner bohemian self and the love for light and whimstical pattern.
I have recently received an amazing plate from Born Pretty Store (www.bornprettystore.com). This was perfect for the look that I had in mind.

If you want to buy it you can find it at this link:
http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-126cm-rectangle-stamping-template-floral-design-manicure-nail-image-plate-l051-p-36309.html

The stainless steel plate measures 6.5 x 12.5cm and have a vinyl backing for increased ease of use. Each plate comes in its own branded protective sleeve. The designs are engraved on to the image plate and covered with a protective film which needs to be removed before use.
The plate is made up by various sized designs, all representing mandalas or similar shapes, A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol. In common use, "mandala" has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents  symbolically the universe.

I thought this plate was perfect for a boho-hippie look!
As you can see the desis are really thin and detailed.I used a white polish as base and different shades of polish mixed together to stamp. i only stamped half nail, on the other half I applied some shattered glass cellophane pieces.

Here is a small video to show how well the plate is engraved and how to create a gradient stamping effect mixing some colours on the plate.

Chamelion nail polish! Magic in a bottle!

Hello!
Today I am here to review this fantastic nail polish from Born Pretty Store. The company sent me some products to review.
They recently created a new version of their site to give their customers a better shopping exprerience and optimized functions. I really like their new simple chic design and I suggest you to take a look at it! www.bornprettystore.com

This is the most beautiful polish I have ever seen. It is magic in one bottle. The polish is made up by a clear base with some chamelion flakes. The shade shift from magenta/ red, copper to a green jade, yellow and blue it depends on the light.
In the sun light it brights a lot and the shade of the glitter flakes shifts, it looks like a rainbow!

For these kind of nail polished you have to use a base, better if it is a dark one. For this nail art I used a black polish and two coats of the chamelion shade. Then I used a glossy top coat to seal the colour.

You can find it at this link for 4.99 product code # 39974
http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-chameleon-nail-polish-romantic-heart-fiery-love-sequins-nail-lacquer-varnish-p-39974.html

The polish comes in a nice bottle that contains 9 ml of products, as you can seen from the picture the brush is quite large and easy to use.
The best way to apply it is with a dabbing motion like any other glitter polish.

I used even for some diy project to create some unique jewelry. Here are some examples:
