Black and white flowers nailart!

 Hello!
It's time for another nail art related review and today
For this nail art I used some products for the online shop To Save. They kindly sent me some product to review and show you!
In the last post I have reviewed a set of 600 false stiletto nails. I did not resist to try them with these wonderful black flower nail stickers.
In this blog post I'll also do a mini-tutorial for how I apply them.

I was captured by this design at first sight! It is all black and white and the flowers look like a sheer and delicate watercolour painting. I think that this design is very elegant and delicate.

The sheet is 12 cm for 7.5 cm and the designs are in different sizes so that they can fit longer or shorter nails. You can do more than 3 complete nailart with these.
These stickers are very thin but strong at the same time. These kind of nail tools are even better than water decals because thir use is faster. These nail stickers can be applied directly onto the nail without having to dip them in the water like with the water decals.

These stickers are very easy to use. Since I am working on false nails I don't need a base but if you are working on natural nails you would prefer applying them on a well dried base colour.
You can use your nails or a pair of tweesers to remove the design for the sheet and apply it directly on your nails.
You have to be very careful when you apply the sticker because it might leave some air bubble.
To make sure the nail art will last long you have to apply a top coat. In this case I applied a matte top coat. I think the matte gives this nail art a modern touch!
Then I added some rose gold and pink paillettes because I wanted to give the idea of some flower pollen flying in the air.

Here is a small video tutorial:

Set of white stiletto nails! Review

Hello there,
this blog post is addressed to all of those people who tried many thing buy never succeded in having their nails on point! If you tried gel nails, shellac, acrylic nails and you nails got ruined or cracked and breaked anyway, you should consider trying press on nails.

I know many of you would turn their nose up but things have changed.
If you are a 90s kid like me you probably remember the first branded press on nails on the market, they were tragic and not so easy to wear, not natural looking at all.
False nails have come such a long way and they became the perfect compromise between beautiful and comfortable.

I have received some products to review from the online shop ToSave www.tosave.com .
I really wanted to try these white pointy nails. They came in a bag that contains 600 nails in 10 different sizes from 0 to 9. Nails are divided by sizes and you will have extra nails in size 4 and 5 because I think they are the most common sizes.

You can even choose a colour:
 - transparent if you like to paint them with sheer nail polish or want to try a french manicure or french nailart.
- natural a sheer, milky white beige, the perfect base for light or nude colours
- white if you need a base for nail art or want a fast and easy nails-to-go

I picked white of course!
The size range is very large the larger nail is 2,5 cm long and 1,4 cm wide, the smallest is 0,7 cm wide.

The shape is the classic stiletto, hte point is not as sharp as some other nails and I think it makes them more elegant and easy to wear. You might need a bit of filing to even the point or the edges but they are ready to wear.
You can apply them with some nail glue or nail tabs if you want to reuse the nails.

How to apply?
-Remove any nail polish. Clean and dry your natural nails.
-Find perfect size for each finger. File sides if too large or long.
-Apply a thin layer of nail glue to the underside of the nail tip.
-Apply the nail near your cuticle and hold in place for a few seconds.

They are quite sturdy and a bit flexible on the base so the can adjust to the natural curve of your nail beds.
You can also change the shape easily by cutting and filing. From this stiletto shape you can do a coffin/ballerina shape in just two steps (I will show you in another blogpost) or do an oval or square shape.

Here is how they look on hands. Amazing right?

If you don't like wearing false nails or you are so lucky that you don't need to you can still consider buying a set of these nails to use to practice nail art or swatch colours without stressing your natural nails. The set is really cheap!

If you like these nails stay tuned because I am going to post some nail art and nail art tutorial using these as base!

Edgy and dainty jewelry review

Hello there!
Today I would like to show you something new!
I was contacted by the online shop ToSave  for a collaboration. They offered me some product to review and show you. I immediately said yes because I had a look on their site and they have the most beautiful items at the lowest price:
www.tosave.com

I was amazed by their jewelry selection, they have literally anything: necklaces, earrings, watches, jewelry set!

The first item that caught my attention was this metal choker necklace  in a golden colour.
I really love these kind of necklaces they are the good compromise between a choker and a statement necklace.

I think these kind of necklaces are an easy way to add personality to a simple outfit.
It’s as effortless as adding and I think this is the kind of accessorise that every girl or boy must have.

Moreover you have 48 styles to choose from, yes 48! The price can go from a minimum of 1.61 usd to a maximum of 2.45 usd. I picked style 3 but it was extremely hard to choose just one!

The shape is very interesting and original, it is a delicate V shape.   love how encircles your neck, it is an elegant and sturdy design . It's comfortable to wear and have a chain extention that make it adjustable to any size.

This necklace is perfect for the girl who likes to keep things simple and sophisticated.

I have decided to pair it with this cuff earring with a leaf pendant.

I've always loved ear cuff, they replaced most of my stud earrings because they are too cool! I love to wear cartilage hook for everyday, also sleek climbers or more detailed designs like this one.

It has a small leaf hanging on a delicate three layered chains. This ear cuff will adjust in a curved shape, and it will easily adapt to fit snugly around the folds of the outer ear.
This earring is very light and this is the main quality I look for in earrings, light wear and super comfortable,

The leaf pendant is very well detailed:

These unique and modern pieces will instantly glamourize any of your staple wardrobe items, making sure you stay fashion-forward.

I decided to wear these two pieces with black faux leather top but I think they will give and edgy and rock touch to a simple white t-shirt too.
I think the right hair style will compliment you look too, you can style your hair in a side part or pulling one side of your hair back into a half-up do.

That's all for now,

Laura

Blue Geode nails

Painting image from https://www.etsy.com/shop/AfterThoughtArt1?ref=l2-shopheader-name

According to wikipedia geode are geological secondary structures which occur in certain sedimentary and volcanic rocks. They are themselves of sedimentary origin and are formed by chemical precipitation. Geodes are hollow, vaguely spheroid to oblate masses of mineral matter (which may include crystals).
Geode banding and coloration is the result of variable impurities. Iron oxides will impart rust hues to siliceous solutions, such as the commonly observed iron-stained quartz. Most geodes contain clear quartz crystals, while others have purple amethyst crystals. Still others can have agate, chalcedony, or jasper banding or crystals such as calcite, dolomite, celestite, etc. There is no easy way of telling what the inside of a geode holds until it is cut open or broken apart. However, geodes from a particular area are usually similar in appearance.

The geode trend started with geode cake then geode lips and now geode nails!
It is not an easy look to achieve, the design is all free handpainted. I followed the "So nailiscious" tutorial but I decided to give my peronal touch using a different shade and adding clear flakes and gold flakes for a more crystal like effect.
First I applied a white polish to serve as the base. They I outlined the portion of the nail I wanted to paint with a darker shade or (even better) a metallic one that resembles the gold exterior found on certain rocks. I used many shades of blue. To mimic a geode's jagged texture I used clear flakes in different shade applying a thick gloss over it to lock it down.

In particular I used a gold flakes powder for Beauty Big Bang. These gold flakes (product IDJ2430-GD) currently retail for 1.61 euros and come in gold and silver.

Glow in the dark galaxy!

I've always loved glow in the dark items. Since childhood I 've always tought that glow in the dark toys were fun magic and a reassurance at night!
Who has never dreamt of turning the cealing into an entire universe of glowing star and planets?
Glow in the dark trend it not only a throwback trend from the 80s but it is still inspiring designer and creators. Lately glow in the dark hair has been the latest instagram obsession but it takes a skilled hairstylist to create these works of art without damaging your locks!
That's all about standing out in a crowd — especially when the lights are off.
But what about nails?
Glow in the dark nail polish have been a big trend but they are really hard to find in local stores and most of the time they are past of temporary collection during Halloween.
I have already shown you these beautiful glow in the dark stars from Beauty Big Bang, and today I would like to show you another way to use them: a glow in the dark galaxy!

Here is a small video to show how these glow in the dark:

As base I used a nail polish from the brand Essence, it is part of a limited edition called Out of Space Stories collection and the shade is called "1000 Light Years Away", in fact it is a black polish full of smaller and larger holographic glitter particles. It is the perfect shade for the base of a galaxy nail art.
Then I mixed some blue and white, the aim is to create the effect of the Milky Way, the I added some dots with a dotting tool and I applied the star sequins.
