Christmas tree nails!

Christmas is not my favourite time of the year #teamgrinch .
This year I have been minimal with decorations too.
I found these geometric trees @flyingtigeritalia , I really like them so I thought it would be a good idea to pair them up with a nail art!

I recently got a nail mail with wonderful items form Born Pretty Store.
These triangle studs were exactly what I needed:
http://www.bornprettystore.com/boxes-chameleon-color-nail-sequins-colorful-triangle-rhombus-flakies-glitter-nail-paillette-p-41283.html

For 2.99 usd you will get 6 boxes, you can choose between two shapes: triangle and rhombus. I got the triagle of course! I received 6 different colours: green, silver/white, holographic, purple, gold rose, green/yellow. All these colours are chromatic so they have a colour shift effect that makes them very unique and festive!

Here are all colours on a thumb nail

For this nail art I used the first three colours.

As you can see from the pictures, these studs are not completely flat, but they have a nice 3d effect that gives dimentions and different light reflections.

As base I used some black glittery nail polish and on the ring finger a white snow glittery polish. On Index and ring finger I did some abstract geometry. On the middle finger I tried to recreate a tree shape with the green studs. On the ring finger there is a slightly sheer effect, I added some pearlescent white nails at the base and the tip.
The studs are really easy to apply, I used a dotting too on a wet polish, then seal it with a clear top coat.

I will use these sequins in other nail art for sure, I think they are a great deal because you get 6 boxes in different colours for a very low price.

Holographic Nail Powder Super Shine

Hello!
This week is full of nail art reviews!
I really love holographic powder! It is such versatile invention, you can mix it in your favorite polish, use it in a top coat, dab it and cover the entire nails, you can do french nails and so on.!
I am always excited to try new powder and textures,

Few days ago I tried this new powder from Born Pretty Store. This was part of a pr sample that the company sent me.

You can find this product at this link:
http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-holographic-nail-powder-super-shine-sequins-manicure-nail-pigment-glitters-p-40866.html

I selected the colour b26 (an holographic silver shade) but on the site you have 10 colours, next time I will be very eager to try another colour such as red or green, perfect shades for Christmas.

It comes in a nice plastic container and a sponge applicator. The powder is quite flakie-like and the are dust is made up by fine glitters and bigger glitter.

I was curious to know how it looked like on nails so I decided to use it over a white base. As top coat I used a holo glitter top coat for two reasons: it will fill the gaps and it will enhance the holo refraction.
I love the fact that is has a raw finish, similar to  sand, stucco, or rock like finish. This makes the look very unique! Another big pro of this kind of nail style is that glitters are very long lasting! You will have hard time to take them off!

Here is a small video to show the holo effect. I find it very difficult to capture with a camera the holographic effect, but believe me it is stunning in real life.

Glitter triangle tip nail art!

Hello!
In this nail art I combined two nail polishes I reviewed few posts ago!
I really enjoyed playing with them and I think that these two shades work very well together.
This look is really easy to achieve and you don't have to do it on all your nails, you can do just an accent nail if you like.

As base I used a black matte nail polish. I suggest you to let it dry completely, this is very important because the next step will be to use some tape on your nails.

The tape is perfect to create a precise triangle you can use normal tape or nail art tape. You can cut two pieces of the tape to create the shape of triangle,or any shape you want.

For thumbs and ring finger I create two triangles one inside the other, the first one with the Born Pretty Store Shell shimmer in the colour Only You , it goes from the tip of the nail untill the cuticle, and another smaller one with the Chamelion Flakie polish in the shade M12 Destiny Fairy.
On the remaining nail I made a smaller triangle and painted it with Destiny Fairy.

I think the contrast between the matt dark colour the shimmer pearlescent of Only you and the flakie polish.

Magnetic displayer review!

Hello!
I am very excited to show you a very particular tool.
It's not a nail art post this time but I am sure it will make your life easier while practicing nail painting.
It is a magnetic nail tips displayer. It is part of a serie of products that the company Born Pretty Store sent me for a review.

I think this product is brilliant, it came in a nice box and in a few seconds you have a beautiful displayer for your works and a useful tip holder for your practice sessions.
In the box you will find a clear plastic base with 5 magnet and 5 stand pieces in gold shade that makes them look similar to chess pieces.

Each tip stand has a magnetic bottom which allows it to stay attached to the clear base.

To apply the tip you can use a plastic tack, sticky putty or self adhesive tape as I did.

I made a short video to show you how to build it. As you can see it is very easy to install and unistall.

It is very light and easy to carry, the base is 11 cm x 1 cm, and each piece stand is 1,2 x 2,5 cm.

Born Pretty Store Chamelion nail polish M12 Destiny Fairy

Today I have another wonderful BornPretty nail polish to show you.
I am always looking for some interesting and altering texures to try and this nail polish is really amazing.
The shade it's called Destiny Fairy M12 and I can see why they gave it this name: because it has beautiful sparkling flakies that shift from green to purple and blue, the effect under the sun light is amazing almost magic!

This polish has a twin, a regular (non flakies) metallic duo chrome polish.

You can find both at this link:

   http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-chameleon-nail-polish-eternal-life-destiny-fairy-sequins-nail-lacquer-varnish-p-39972.html

I thought this polish would look great with another flakie one from the same brand.
This one:

I used Destiny Fairy on the tip of some black stiletto nails. I applied two coats (dab for a better effect). On the other half of the nails (only one coat).

In this way a creted a beautiful rainbow effect, I love it because the mix of these shades capture every shade of the spectrum.

These kin of polishes are a nice thing to try especially if you are a beginner. This is a fun nail art easy to do and that will make your nails pop and draw attention.
I hopo you like it!
