Freehand abstract nail art with striping brush from Born Pretty Store

Hello!
as promised another nail art and another review for Born Pretty Store .

I decided to try again a different striping brush with a dual ended dotting tool: 2 Way Plastic Dotting & Liner Brush Pen  id # 8790  . This time a did a more simpler a free hand design. I decided to use this brush with nail polishes to see how it worked.

The structure of the pencil is very simple and sturdy, it is in white plastic with blue details. The striping brush is a bit more thick that the one I used in this post, that's why I decided to use it with nail varnish.

The bush bristles look very flexible and durable, after the nail art I cleaned it with nail polish remover and water, it came back exactly as before.

The company was kind enough to offer a 10% discount to my readers. Just use promo code RASX31  during checkout. Shipping is free on all orders as well!

On the other end the pencil has a medium sized dotting tool, so I thought it would be a good idea to use them combined and see if I can create a nail art.

I started with a matte black base then a randomly added some lines across the nails. The trick is to dip the brush once in the polish and move rapidly onto the nail.
I used a glittery duo chorme from an old limited collection from Kiko, it shift form iridescent blue to purple. It gives the lines a nice shading, Then I added to dots with a dotting tool, I used a Born Pretty Store nail polish that I really love: it is called Only you and it is from the Transparent Shell Glimmer collection you can find it here .

It is a delicate purple with a delicate yellow duochrome: Only you.
The most interesting thing about these polishes is that they give different effect on different colours on black it looks like and iridescent purple/pink.

Tropical nails! free hand with striping brush

Hello!
I recently received a nail mail from Born Pretty Store, I have been in an affiliation progam with this company for many years. I really trust their product and they always have nthe newest trend in the nail art field and I have never been disappointed.

This time I decided to experiment with some free hand designs. I picked some new brushes and tool.

I tried two striping brushes and i have decided to use one with acrylic paint and one with nail polish to see if there were some differences.

The first one I would like to show you is this Dual-ended Liner Drawing Brush . Id product # 42603
Nail artists know that you can never have enough nail art tool so when I find 2 products in one I am super happy. In this tool you will have one end with a dotting tool and the other end with a striping brush.

The company was kind enough to offer a 10% discount to my readers. Just use promo code RASX31  during checkout. Shipping is free on all orders as well!

The handle is very fancy, it is transparent and filled with sheer purple rhinestones. It is very beautiful and it stands out in my collection.

The brush is 14,6 cm in total, th string brush is 1,5 cm long,
The brush hair is very flexible and thin but quite resistant.
If you use it for the first time it is a good idea to clean it with water and wipe them on a towel to get that stickiness out of the bristles and make sure all the hairs stick together for an optimal result.
This brush is very useful to draw  very thin lines, I thin they are perfect for abstract painting or organic design such as leaves, flowes, marble etc.

So I wanted to try a tropical nail art. As base I used a light pink. I started drawing a line for the branch with the striping brush and then a used a bigger brush for the leaves.
Then I draw the palm leaves only with the striping brush I mixed different colours from black, to green, dark green, light yellow.
When you use striping brushes with acrylic paint you can easly clean them with water.

Ariana Grande inspired nails with precision brush from Nicole Diary

Hello!
It is really weird how inspiration happens suddely.
I found an image scrolling my instagram feed and I felt immedialy inspired by it.
It was an image from Ariana Grande's new music video. I am not really a pop music person but I really liked the visual references. This setting in particular reminds of Georgia O'Keefe's art work.

I love the painted marble pool full of colours and shades from pearlescent white to light lavander, pink and blue. I also loved the brush strokes on Ariana's body and face.
I saw many make up artists and make up lovers tried to recreate this look so I wanted to challenge myself and try to recreate this on nails.

I needed a very small and precise brush because of the amount of the different colours.
I was so lucky to have the right product at hand!
It is this nail art precision brush from Nicole Diary. it is a high quality, professional detailing nail art brush.

This brush is very thin, flexible and it is a must have if you want to try free hand nail art. It's perfect for precise painting of fine details and intricate patterns, including stripes, dots, lace, flowers, leaves, zebra or tiger stripes. There are three lenght available 5 mm, 7 mm, 11 mm. The one I have is 7 mm. The hair is very soft and flexible.

Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off LAPI10 on www.nicolediary.com

It is also extremely beautiful, the handle is clear and it has purple and pink pearls inside. It has the Nicole Diary logo over a metal matte silver.
It has a beautiful cap in the same colours that protect the brush and make it easier to store and collect.

The product arrive to you packed in a clear plastic tube, In my opinion this is a fantastic idea because I always have troubles in finding the right way to store all my brushes.

It's very easy to clean, if you use acrylic paint you can wash it with water and a delicate soap or if you use nail polish a polish remover.

The brush strokes are quite random so this look is not too hard to achieve, for the marble effect I diluted some acrylic paint and mixed it onto the nail.

Gold filaments over black! Nicole Diary review

Hello,

Today I would like to show you a product from Nicole Diary an online shop that sells nail art and nail related items.
They contacted me and offered some free sample to show you.

The product I want to show you today is a brand new one, I haven't seen it elsewhere so I was really curious to try it.

You can find it at this link:
http://www.nicolediary.com/nicole-diary-nail-strip-colorful-metal-wire-line-matte-mirror-flakies-nail-nail-decoration-p-308.html

Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off LAPI10 on www.nicolediary.com

The product is made up by very thin filaments in gold. They are extremely shiny and thin. The material looks like the duo chrome or metallic flakes but cut in thin stripes. I really find interesting this version of the product, it makes the use very versatile and fun.

The product comes in a nice jar with the logo on it, the plastic jar contains 0,1 gr of product and a sponge applicator. There are other colours too: blue, green, pink, purple, red and silver.
It was really hard to pick only one, I would like to try the pink next time!

You can use the product on the entrire lenght of the nails covering almost all the base and creating a full cover metal effect. Or you can use the product with a flakies effect  as I did in this nail art.

I tried to recreate a gradient effect. I started with a black base, then with a brush I made a few brush strokes on the tips of the nail. Then I added one coat of clear nail polish and I gently dabbed the the gold filaments on the nail adding more product on the tips.
I finished the nail art with a matte top coat.

Warm toned leaves! Water decals from Nicole Diary

Hello!
I was excited to receive an email from Nicole Diary a few weeks ago asking if I would be interested in reviewing products for them. I gladly accepted their invitation and selected  some products from their site  www.nicolediary.com.
NICOLE DIARY is a fashion-based nail art brand founded in 2011 by "NICOLE", she believes that"creativity is the key note of all perfect nail arts". They offer free shipping worldwide and prices and products quality seems to be excellent.

It takes 2 or 4 weeks but the shipping time depends on your country.

The first item I would love to show you is this sheet of water decals.
I was really surprised by designs and the unsual colour palette. The decals show some flying leaves in all warm tones such as orange, brown, caramel, mustard yellow, green.

The design print is perfect, printed in hight resolution, lines are very sharp and colour are vivid. I am a huge fan of water decals in general! They are super easy to use and you can spice up your nails instantly with intricate looking designs. They are also a great alternative to stamping when you want a professional look in a few minutes.

The size of the sheet is approx. 6.5cm x 8cm.
One sheet always comes with 10 designs on it. There are four different sizes, so you can choose the one that fits your nail best or use different ones on different sized nails.
The decals come with some instruction on the backs, which is great when you are using them for the first time.

You can find this set of water decals here:
http://www.nicolediary.com/nicole-diary-nail-water-decal-colorful-leaf-sticker-nail-tips-decoration-lilae-p-121.html

Don't forget to use my coupon code for 10% off LAPI10 on www.nicolediary.com
There is a wide range of water decals and designs, I am sure you will find the right one for you.

The coloured decals work best over white so I started with a base of a white plain nail polish.
The application is very easy.
The waterdecals are protected by a transparent sheet. You can select the size and the design you want, cut it with a scissor. Don't forget to remove the plastic sheet. Cut out the section of decals, and let it soak in room temperature water for about 15-30 seconds, slide the decals off the paper backing with tweezers and place on the nails with the white or nude base coat
The instructions suggest to place it on  the nail and dry with a tissue. The last step is to secure it with clear nail polish. In my case with a matte top coat.

You could use all 10 at once on all of your finger nails, or use them on accent nails as I did and make them last over a few manicures. I decided to pair the design with a warm tones red with some sparkling gold wire. This product is from Nicole Diary too, it will be reviewed soon in a a blog spot.

Dry flowers nail art!

This summer my passion for floral patter and motif went even crazier.
I loved the floral print 90s revival or the boho chic version for dresses and accessories.
If head-to-toe flower prints aren’t exactly your idea of a seasonal wardrobe refresh, the nail trend that’s about to blow up is the perfect way to get into the spirit of spring/ summer.

Most nail trands came from Korea where insanely good nail artist are working hard everyday. One of them is with Eun Kyun Park (aka @nail_unistella on Instagram). She was the first one who used dry flowers on nails.

This is one of the easiest nail art you can find because it is created by applying mini dried flowers to the nail and sealing it in with a clear topcoat.

In this nail art I used this wheel of dried flowers from Beauty Big Bang.

As you can see from the picture the flowers come in 12 different colours: coral red, blue, light green, dark yellow, lavander purple, ivory white, fucsia, light orange, dusty purple, pink, teal, light yellow.

The colour choice is random and the flowers are approximately 5mm-7mm. There are 2-3 flowers of each color. I love the shape of the flowers, the petals are very thin, you can easly cut them in half if you want to use more colours on the same nail. The center part of some flowers is a bit more thick, I suggest you to use some extra top coat on that part and be very gentle with the petals.

These are really easy to use, with the help of a pair of tweesers you can apply them on a wet nail polish. Then, seal it in with top coat.

BeautyBigBang is a global online retailer for all things beauty (cosmetics, nails, hair, health care, etc). Also, they offer free shipping worldwide for orders that contain more than one item. Delivery time takes 2-4 weeks. You can use my code LAURA for 10% off your order!

I used a set of false clear nails and some nail art flakes from Beauty Big Bang as well.

I left a clear base on the accent nails and used a sheer gold polish for the others nails.
