Marble effect, super easy with stamping!

Hello!
Marble trend is  a thing!
Marble design has been enjoying a moment in the design and fashion spotlight for a little while now.  Marble’s use in architecture, art, and design dates for thousands of years to early Egyptian and Mesopotamian cultures.
The use of the marble stone has been reinventing from architecture, interiors, furniture, lighting, art, homeware, and clothing to styling. Nothing material speaks sophistication and luxury as marble.
Nailartists also gave this new trend a try!

Italian architecture and sculpture is full of marble stone so I had plenty of inspiration.

Most marble stone nail art are handpainted. I have to be honest I had a lot of fun  hand painting marble stone on nails, it is one of my favourite free hand designs but it is very time consuming and you are never sure what really will it look like untill the end.

This year many brands created some stamping plates with botanical or natural designs and al least one or two were expecially made for marble designs.

When I saw on the Born Pretty Store online shop this stamping plate from Harunouta I thought I wanted to have it!
They were so kind to send me some product to test and show you.

As you can see from the picture the plate has a wide range of patterns, 14 patterns that go from the famous water marble effect, to a geometric intricate lines design. Some of them remind me of modern art and paint dripping but most of them are prefect to layer and recreate marble designs with foliate veins and swirls for a naturally elegant manicure.
You can use different colours for endless possibilities, you can layer some of them to give your art some dimensions and variances.

I decided to use a delicate pink as base and then add some sheer white and some more pigmented white. As final touch I added some gold and rose gold veins.

I have made two versions one with a glossy top coat. The amazing No smudge top coat from Born Pretty Store.

And the other one with a matte top coat.

I hope you'll love this!
