To Save stamping plate review

In my row of stamping plate reviews, I have reached a new brand To Save the online shop ww.tosave.com. that offered me to try some new products.
I always want to try new nail art tool so here I am with the review!

The plate includes 10 different larger designs (1.2 x 1.5cm each) and 9 smaller design engraved on to the stainless steel image plate and covered with a protective film to be removed before use. The image plate measures 6.5 x 12.5cm.

The ten larger images are bigger than most common plates on the market, I am sure that they are carefully made to ensure almost any size nail. Every design is very detailed in order to be suitable even to tiny nails. I like the choice of adding smaller designs for small nails or layered nail art.

The main theme is mandalas. A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe. In common use, "mandala" has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a microcosm of the universe.

How to use:
1) Remove the blue protective film.
2) Apply the Nail Polish of your choice to the design you wish to stamp.
3) Remove the excess nail polish with a scraper using a 45° angle.
4) Roll the stamp over the selected design being careful not to use too much pressure.
5) Transfer the design by rolling the stamp over you nail.
6) Apply a top coat for a longer lasting result.

As base I used some stiletto false nails that you can buy at this link

http://www.tosave.com/p/600Pcs-NaturalWhiteClear-Artificial-Sharp-Nail-Art-Tips-Pointy-Fake-False-Nail-109578.html

For the stiletto shape is very easy to obtain a coffin/ballerina shape. You simply have to cut the point and file the nail.
I used a silver nail polish to stamp and the I added to rhinestones on the middle and ring finger.

I hope you'll love the result!

Low poly nail art!

Hello!
How is your summer going? Today I have a brand new nail art to show you!
You all know I am obsessed over gometric pattern and they are my favourite in nail art!
So I end up picking stamping plates with these designs and I never get tired of them! So here is another wonderful stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.

It is on sale now and you can have it for only 2.99. You can buy it at this link or search code # 39713
http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-stamping-template-geometry-figure-rectangle-manicure-nail-image-plate-l070-p-39713.html

It comes in a beautiful paper sleeve and  measures (125x65 mm). It also has a plastic backing for easy, comfortable handling and a protective nylon screen.(It has to be removed before use).

The stamping technique is a huge help if you want to achieve a perfect geometric pattern, hand free drawing will be very difficult and time consuming.
This plate has so many options that I did not know where to start. It has 7  bigger pattern and the stamping plate offers an awesome array of  smaller 3D graphics and modern abstract designs .
This second half of the plate is very intersting because it replicate the "low poly" style:  is a polygon mesh in 3D computer graphics that has a relatively small number of polygons. This angular, faceted look will continue to show up outside the gaming world, in web and print projects, stationery and fashion. (A dedicated nail art will be coming soon).

In my opinion geometric patterns combine very well with bright and light colours. So as base I did a marble nails art with pastels colours.
This is before:

and after:

A great result with such a tiny effort. The options are endless with this plate.  The amount of designs are worth getting this plates, and they stamp beautifully. I was so surprised to see the intricate detail that is taken with each plate, and the entire design picks up very well.

You can mix and match different pattern as I did or just use one as an accent nails or a minimalistic style in monochrome.
I hope you like it!

Silver and blue geometric nail art!

Hi again!

As I promised you, here is a special nail art tutorial for you!
I had pretty much fun with this one, I used a ring set (see previous post) as my main inspiration!

The two main colours are blue and silver.

I wanted to recreate the geometric design that are engraved on the rings.
I love geometric patterns but they are really hard to draw free hand, you need a steady hand and plenty of time to work on it.
So I end up using this wonderful plate from Born Pretty Store that I have already reviewd in this post.

For the best result I suggest you to use a clear jelly stamper so you will be sure to place the image exactly on the center of the nail and the gometric look won't be ruined.

I used the lates Clear Jelly stamper from Born Pretty Store.

The company send it to me for a review. It is 3.9 cm in diameter. It has a clear and resistant horder  and it comes with a plastic flexible scraper.
I can say with no doubt that it is best I have tried so far.

The first thing I noticed about this stamper is that it has a cap, this is a great idea because it is easier to store it, I'm always worried to damage the jelly head. It is a clear marshmallow head, very big and soft and it covers even longer and larger nails.
The most important suggestion I have for this kind of stamper is: "please do not primer it". You don't have to file it or mattify it with pure acetone otherwise you will make clear head foggy and unclear,
In my opinion the best way to clean it is with the help of some tape.

I've filmed some small videos that show you how this stamper works, how it picks up the image and transfers the design on the nail. It works perfectly.

I added a couple of rhinestones and studs similar to ones in the ring set.

I hope you like it!

Best wishes,

Laura

Geometric nail art

Hi!

Just a short up date to show you how quick and easy nail art is with these wonderful geometric water decals from Born Pretty Store

                                            Decals Transfer Sticker BPY04

You can use my coupon code at check out to get 10% off RASX31 on www.bornprettystore.com

You get 2 different pattern with one sheet. I picked this one because I am very fascinated by geometrical and abstract designs and I think that these kind of pattern are very hard to draw in free hand and even more difficult to get with stamping nail art.

One design reminds me some sixties optical art or wallpapers while the other  is clearly inspired to Mondrian paintings. That's the main reason I wanted to try this one first!

The colors are great, red, orange, black. When the sticker separates from the paper backing you can clearly see that the white parts are transparent and the other are quite sheer. That's why these kind of decals works perfectly on white, nude, or light colours but the design is less visible on black or darker colours.

The application is very easy.
The waterdecals are protected by a transparent sheet. You can select the size and the design you want, cut it with a scissor. Don't forget to remove the plastic sheet. Cut out two section of decals, and let them soak in room temperature water for about 20-30 seconds, slid the decals off the paper backing with tweezers and place on the nails with the white or nude base coat
The instructions suggest to place it on  the nail and blow dry. The last step is to secure it with clear nail polish.

Gold and black geometric nail art

Hi there,
it's a bit late for a New Years Eve nail art but I'm still in the mood for glamour and sparkles.

Some time ago Born Pretty Store came out with a new line of stamping plates and...surprise surprise with one of the most beautiful geometric plates I have ever seen!
They were so kind to send me thise plate and some others brand new items to try.

The plate is rectangular, approx 12x6 cm and it provides 20 geometric designs, some are quite big so they can fit longer and larger nails and some others (in the central part of the plate) are smaller. I think these tiny designs are meant to be overlapped or mixed with the bigger ones to create a double stamping look. The designs are engraved very well and the images easily transfer on any stamper.

Moreover these kind of geometric patterns are perfect with reverse stamping technique, you can fill in the gap with any colour you like.

I really appeciate the simple and elegant look of this plate. It reminds me of some art nouveau design or some sci-fi decorations. I tried a smooth look with the tones of gold, white, black and nude negative space. I added a couple of studs here and there. As you can see from pictures this plate offers endless possibilities and combinations.

The process of this nail art was made even easier by this fantastic tool: manicure saver cotton claw.

This is a unique device that allow you to remove polish from your nails or stamping plates without even touching the acetone soaked cotton ball.
At first sight it looks like a pen,a plastic bronze stick. You can push in the button on one end and the claw part will open to hold the cotton ball or pad in place. At this point you can soak the cotton with acetone and start cleaning with no mess for your finger nails.

I think this tool is a life saver, I really love it!
