The product comes in a nice pot with 5 ml of product. As you can see the product is crystal clear.

I have used a star mold and put a bit of product at the center of mold, I waited for the product to spread and then I cured it for 1 or 2 min.

Here it is the little star ready to be used.

I used the same product to glue two stars onto the nails. I cured under the lamp for 60 sec.

Steam punk nails!

According to wikipedia Steampunk fashion is a subgenre of the steampunk movement in science fiction. It is a mixture of the Victorian era's romantic view of science in literature and the industrialization in most parts of Europe. The aesthetics of the fashion are designed with a post-apocalyptic era in mind. The costumes included clothing, hairstyling, jewellery, body modification and make-up. Steampunk fashion has later gone on to include gadgets and contrasting accoutrements.

Initially, the clothes such as bustiers, bodices', jackets and other items were mostly handmade and customized, but as the steampunk movement grew, entrepreneurs and companies became interested and started to mass-produce steampunk clothing to be sold both online and in stores.

Now steampunk fashion is becoming main stream now and nail art industry is offering many tool and products related to this trend.

I really wanted to try some nails inspired to the steam punk trend but I never found the right product for it. The free hand drawing option looked too difficult for me.
I was recently contacted by the company Big Bang Beauty and in their store I found this set of stickers. 
The sheets has many stickers in different sizes and styles, they all look like clock pieces, or others hardware and machinery parts.

For this nail art I left half of the nail clear and on the other half I did a marble pattern with a black and a bronze shade. Then I applied the stickers between the clear part and the design to make them more visible.
I was really amazed by the quality of these stickers, the designs are very detailed and the glue is very strong so they stick to the nail very well. They don't make air bubble or stains. They measure approximately 4mm 6mm and 8mm in diameter so they are suitable for long or short nails.
You can use some tweesers to take them off the sheet and apply on the nails
I added some 3d mini steam punk nail art decoration, I think they would go well with the sitcker and create a tridimentional effect.
I sealed the designs with 2 coats of clear glossy polish.

Embossed mirror chrome nailart

As promised I am going to show you how to achieve this look on nails.
I have seen some embossed nails around the internet last year.
The embossed effect is mainly created by a 3d gel polish applied with a thin brush to create designs and such as swirls, dots, lines.

I am recently enjoying trying out different nail technique and in this post I will share about 3D embossed nail art stickers
As you know I don't use gel polishes, so as always I have an alternative method.
In this short video I will show you how to achieve this look.


I started with a white nail polish base, I applied the 3D nail art sticker.
Then I applied a thin layer of the mirror reflect chrome polish from the company Born Pretty Store.
It is a unique formula that guarantees a mirror effect look in a few simple strokes.
This polish need a special base coat to smooth the surface of the nail and make the result last longer.
I was so dumb that I did not take the base coat so I ended up tring this nail polish on false nails and for a long lasting result I used a water base nail polish from Little Ondine and it worked perfectly.

Unicorn nails

Today I wanted to do something colourful but delicate at the same time.

So I thought it was the time to finally do a unicorn inspired nail art!

I received these two beautiful items from Born Pretty Store.
The first one is an duo-chrome flakies powder

I fell in love with this magic chameleon flakes! It has a really fantastic effect: it is a mix of large flakes, and really tiny ones. I picked the shade, number two ,that as you can see from the picture has a bit of purple and blue.

On a white base it looks like a delicate sheer duo chrome in light purple and blue teal, on a black base the colours are brighter and the shade shift  is more visible.

There are 6 different colours to choose from and you can choose to have a jar of 0.1 g or a jar of 0.2 gr.
All the jars come with a sponge applicator which is very easy to use.

On the middle finger I created a triangular shape with some tape then I gently dabbed the flakies powder over a sticky polish and finally I used a top coat to seal the glitters.

You can use these glitter for craft decoration too. I used them to create a fake druzy cabochon.

There are 6 colours available, the one I used in this nail art is number 1. Some sequins are in a light pink shades some others a nice holo silver.

These sequins are very thin but not very flexible so I tried to shape them a bit before application.

The applicatiom was very easy because I used this great new tool: a white wax pencil expecially designed to pick up gems, rhinestones, sequins.

For a small price of 1.29 usd you will get 5 pieces. I really love this item! I normally use a dotting tool to pick up rhinestone but with this new tool everything is easier. With the dotting tool you have to load the tip each time with nail polish to make it sticky while these crayons don't require anything else to work.

 They work like a normal pencil, you can make the tip thinner or thicker with a pencil sharpener. These pencils are quite short and easy to handle.

Dream catch me nail art! Born Pretty Store dream catcher stamping plate and triangle sequins

Today is another nail art day!

Dream catcher nail has been really on trend this year, many tried a free hand drawings and some companies made some stamping plates inspired buy this object and his symbolic use.

A dreamcatcher  is a handmade willow hoop, on which is woven a net or a web. The dreamcatcher may also include sacred items such as certain feathers or beads. Traditionally they are often hung over cradles as protection. It also know as the "spider web charm". Today the dreamcatcher is associated with Native American culture.

I really felt in love with this plate from Born Pretty Store, it shows a big dream catcher at the center and other two on the left and on the right. The remaining space is filled with designs such as feathers cristals and arrows.

The plate comes in a nice paper sleeve and has a blue protective film that needs to be removed before use.

The design is really well engraved and every stamper that I have picks the image very well with no problem. 

For this nail art I used a black matte polish as background than I added some purple, light blue and pink creating a smoke or marble effect on three nails and an entire nail on the index.

I stamped with some gold over the black nails and with some black polish over the marble blue/purple index.

On the ring finger I decided to do something different, I applied these wonderful trialgle sequing in two shades: chrome purple and chrome gold.

 It is very easy to apply them with a dotting tool over a wet nail polish.
