The ultra-fine powder can be mixed to create all the colours of the rainbow in all depths of colour.
When Chrome nails are created over a dark colour such as black you will achieve a greater chrome or mirror effect.

All the chrome nail powders can be used over clear gel nail basecoat for a lighter effect, or with a base gel colour to create a wide range of effects, the darker the base colour the darker the Chrome effect will be!

I have decided to use it over a gel peel off nail polish from My-Ny cosmetics in the colour Deep Black. I really like it because in one step it provides a perfect glossy base for any powder product you want. You don't need to remove the tacky layer and you can peel it off when you get tired of it.

I have also used some My-Ny vinyls to do a fast nail art.

The powder application is very easy:

You can pply the chrome nail powder using the sponge applicator. Apply pressure and rub into the nail until it‘s perfectly smooth. You can use it even on vinyls and it works perfectly.

As final step you have to seal the powder with a gel top coat,

This shade is called Romantica it is from the Metallic Hybrid collection.
It is called Hybrid because it can be used both as regular Nail polish and Gel.

The metallic effect is stunning, it is between chrome and mirror and the shade is very unique. It is a gold rose with a hint of lavender.
Metallic normal nail polishes are really tricky to apply, they always leave stricky marks and they are never like the mirror powder salon nails.

These metallic Hybrid polishes are the perfect solution to get that perfect effect with no effort.

Use as Nail Polish: You can let them air dry completely and then remove with any nail polish remover.

Use as Gel Polish:
1) Apply a gel base coat and cure

2) Apply a no wipe top coat and cure. Don’t skip the layer of top coat over the base gel. It provides a smoother surface for the metallic and gives the metallic particles something to grab.

3) Apply a very very thin even layer of metallic. Cure for 3 minutes untill you get the complete metallic effect

4) Apply the no wipe top coat and cure.

Embossed mirror chrome nailart

As promised I am going to show you how to achieve this look on nails.
I have seen some embossed nails around the internet last year.
The embossed effect is mainly created by a 3d gel polish applied with a thin brush to create designs and such as swirls, dots, lines.

I am recently enjoying trying out different nail technique and in this post I will share about 3D embossed nail art stickers
As you know I don't use gel polishes, so as always I have an alternative method.
In this short video I will show you how to achieve this look.


I started with a white nail polish base, I applied the 3D nail art sticker.
Then I applied a thin layer of the mirror reflect chrome polish from the company Born Pretty Store.
It is a unique formula that guarantees a mirror effect look in a few simple strokes.
This polish need a special base coat to smooth the surface of the nail and make the result last longer.
I was so dumb that I did not take the base coat so I ended up tring this nail polish on false nails and for a long lasting result I used a water base nail polish from Little Ondine and it worked perfectly.

Today we will be testing out a nail product I have been wanting for a loooooong time!
It has to do with the mirror chrome trend!

The mirror nails was a huge trend in the nail art world in the few last years. But it needed specific tools and more steps to be completed.
The magic mirror effect was created with a very fine powder that you rubbed onto a base colour. The sad thing was that a normal top coat would have ruined the chrome effect so this look was available only for UV gel users or in salons or with a special trick (that I have shown you a few moths ago in this video).

These are the application instruction
How to use:
1. Use File and buffer to let your nails get a smooth surface and remove oiliness
2. Apply one coat of base coat, wait it dry
3. Shake the bottle before use to let the color be even
4. Apply the metal polish wait it dry

This polish need a special base coat to smooth the surface of the nail and make the result last longer.
I was so dumb that I did not take the base coat so I ended up tring this nail polish on false nails and for a long lasting result I used a water base nail polish from Little Ondine and it worked perfectly.

I am not able to tell you how long the colour will last on natural or false nails because this was my first time testing, I will let you know in the future.
I think it can last one or two days because it is not a normal nail polish, but it is so beautiful that it worth the effort.
The bottle contains 9 ml, a lot of product.

As I said before it is different from a normal nail polish and the consitency will surprise you, it is very thin and liquidy. When you first apply it it won't look mirror at all, but if you wait a few minutes you will see the amazing transformation: a prefect mirror chrome effect, not stricky, perfectly even and shiny. It is very important to shake well the bottle before applying it and it takes just one coat for full opacity.
Born Pretty did an amazing job with this product and it is not expensive at all compared to the ones are out in the market.

I picked a gold rose colours " Get a Penny" and it is stunning, there are others 6 shades, all amazing it was so hard to choose just one!
