This blog post is about this gorgeous lace nail art plate from Beauty Big Bang the product ID is XL-015 (id product BBBXL-015).
It is a beatiful plate that features all very detailed lace images.
What I like the most about this plate is that it has 14 different images with different designs, some are flower pattern and others are geometric or abstract but they are all very elegant.
The plate measures 6*12cm and the images are quite large so they will fit even longer nails.
It cames in protective paper sleeve with the brand name on it and like any other plate it has a blue film that has to be removed before use.
The plate is very well engraved and it picks up every image perfectly, make sure you use a pigmented polish for stamping.
For my nail art I decided to use the nails I used as swatches in the previous post, I used different colours and as top coat I used the Misty Rose Shiny Mermaid Shell Nail Polish.
In this case different colours can give a bit variations on a plain stamping.
I really like the design on the middle finger it has a nice retro vibe, like a a 60ies wallpaper. I decided to stamp with a a metallic dark burgundy from Kiko.
I really like the result and I think this plate is a must have if you love lace design, it can be wonderful for a wedding nail art in white or for a sexy Valentine nail art in black or red. You can create a huge variety of gorgeous nail art designs.

The application is very easy. You can dab the powder over a base nail polish. If you use the sponge applicator is very importsnt that you dab the product over a tacky polish. It has to be not completely wet but a bit sticky. When you are satisfied with the design you can seal it with a clear top coat.

Se usate l'applicatore in spugna è molto importante che lo smalto non sia asciutto del tutto ma ancora leggermente umido. These nail flakes look so saturated and realistic that remind of gold leaf used on ceramics, that's why I decided to create a gradient base with a fan brush. The first version is in a rich shade of light blue.
It is very easy to achieve this look. I started with a white base. Then I used a fan brush, I dipped half of the brush in a white acrylic paint and the other half in a light blue paint. You can swipe the brush across your nails, you can repeat this step many times to blend the colours together. In this case I didn't wanted it to be exemely precise and let the brush strokes visible.
Once the design has dried you can add a coat of nail polish and apply the gold flakes. I dipped a dry brush in the flakes jar and let them fall on the wet nail polish. then I sealed again with a clear top coat.

La foglia d'oro è molto brillante e realistica, mi ha ricordato quella usata per decorare la ceramica. Per questo motivo ho deciso di creare una nail art in blu sfumando il colore gradualmente con un pennello a ventaglio. è molto facile realizzare questo effetto. Sono partita da una base bianca, poi ho intinto metà del pennello in un colore acrilico bianco e l'altra metà nel blu. Ho passato il pennello sull'unghia ripetutamente fino a sfumare i due colori. In questo caso non volevo essere troppo precisa ma lasciare che le pennellate si vedessero. Quando il primo strato è asciutto potete aggiungere dello smalto trasparente e passare all'applicazione della foglia dorata. Ho prelevato un po' di prodotto con un pennello e l'ho lasciato cadere in modo sparso sullo strato di smalto ancora bagnato. Infine ho fissato il tutto ancora con un top coat trasparente.
You can try different colours. In this variation I tried some pastels and seald the design with a matte clear top coat. As you can see the gold flakes did not lose their shine.
Potete provare colori divesi. In questa variante ho usato alcuni colori pastello e un top coat matte, come si può vedere dalle foto l'oro non ha perso brillantezza.

I have tried iridescent flakies before and I love them. these ones are a bit different because the flakies are smaller and in the set you will have all colours available.
They all comes in nice jars that contains approx. 1g of products.
In the jar they all look pretty the same, a white iridescent colour with a delicate hint of colour but I the effect on different base colour is amazing!
It is very easy to use this product:
They don't require a special base or top coat but it is recommended to use these flakies over a dark nail polish for a more vivid effect.
Apply a layer of gel or regular polish and while it is still sticky add flakies on top using a fan brush or the little sponge you find in the box (it looks like an eyeshadow applicator). Maybe you should let the polish dry for a few a minutes. The polish should be tacky but not completely wet. I then dipped my brush into the pot of flakies and then dabbed onto my nail. If you don't have a brush you can use your fingertip.
Apply a thick layer or two of your favorite top coat to finish.
You can use matte or glossy top coat.
Each one will have a different colour shift
Can't decide which is the best top coat for this nail style.
As you can see on black the colour shift is amazing.
A beautiful jade green
an amber yellow
a deep blue purple
a beautiful duochrome light purple and green
The last jar is not iridescent but it is pure holo!

It took almost few seconds you will have way more flakies than you could get with a flakie top coat nail polish. You can see how the flakies vary in size which gives a really nice effect.

When I opened the package I was very surprised by how shine and gold they looked.
I wondered for a while what colour to use with them but then I decided to go for a simple black and an accent matte gold nail.
The sheet contains also others patterns: two geometric intricated designs and a vertical chain like stickers.

These stickers are very easy to use. I prefer applying them on a dried base colour.
You have to be very careful when you apply the sticker because it might leave some air bubble.
To make sure the nail art will last long you have to apply a top coat. In this case I applied a matte top coat. I think the matte gives this nail art a modern touch!
Then I tried to change a bit this nailart by adding a marble effect on some nails. I used black, white and gold acrylic paint on a white base, I mixed the shades randomly with a thin brush.

For this nail art I used the first three colours.
As you can see from the pictures, these studs are not completely flat, but they have a nice 3d effect that gives dimentions and different light reflections.
As base I used some black glittery nail polish and on the ring finger a white snow glittery polish. On Index and ring finger I did some abstract geometry. On the middle finger I tried to recreate a tree shape with the green studs. On the ring finger there is a slightly sheer effect, I added some pearlescent white nails at the base and the tip. The studs are really easy to apply, I used a dotting too on a wet polish, then seal it with a clear top coat. I will use these sequins in other nail art for sure, I think they are a great deal because you get 6 boxes in different colours for a very low price.
