Stained shattered glass! Nail tape and wax pen from Born Pretty Store

I feel really inspired today!
I just received some products form Born Pretty Store and I wanted to use them all... well at least some of them.

The first one is this set of mermaid iridescent tape.
You can order one singular piece or all the colours: grey, purple, blue, green, pink and yellow.
Of course I wanted them all there all 3 sizes available 1 mm, 2 mm and 3 mm. The ones I used here are 3 mm.

This product can be used onto natural nails or false nails, with normal polish or gel.

I love how the colours are very delicate but still visible and I am in love with the iridescent effect.
These tape is self adhesive so it does not need a wet polish, it can be easilt cut in small pieces to create a beautiful shattered glass effect.

In my nail art I tried to follow the rainbow colour  from indaco to red/pink.
 Then I accentuated the shattered effect with black lines, like a stained glass effect.
For this I used a striping brush and some acrylic black paint. then I sealed with a clear nail polish.

For the ring finger I used the tape vertically across the nail and the I added some triangular holo paillettes.

The sequins are beautiful but they a bit tricky to pick up because of the triangula shape. This time I had this wonderful tool to help me: this wax pencil picker.

On one end it has a sticky wax tip that will help you to pick it up rhinestones and studs or even foil paper. Since I have long nail I have been having hard time picking up small pailettes and this tool is very useful.  On the opposite end there is a metal tool that it is meant to push onto the rhinestones or sequins to make sure it is stuck into the glue.

I really love this product, the only advice I have is that if you live in cold country or you use this product in winter you have to warm a bit the wax point with your hand.
The wax won't stain the rhinestone because it is clear.
I really appreciated the fact that the product comes in a nice hard plastic box that prevent any kind of damage and help you store it easily. you can also pick a colour: pink or this tiffany light blue, m favourite.

Christmas tree nails!

Christmas is not my favourite time of the year #teamgrinch .
This year I have been minimal with decorations too.
 I found these geometric trees @flyingtigeritalia , I really like them so I thought it would be a good idea to pair them up with a nail art!

I recently got a nail mail with wonderful items form Born Pretty Store.

I received 6 different colours: green, silver/white, holographic, purple, gold rose, green/yellow. All these colours are chromatic so they have a colour shift effect that makes them very unique and festive!

For this nail art I used the first three colours.

As you can see from the pictures, these studs are not completely flat, but they have a nice 3d effect that gives dimentions and different light reflections.

As base I used some black glittery nail polish and on the ring finger a white snow glittery polish. On Index and ring finger I did some abstract geometry. On the middle finger I tried to recreate a tree shape with the green studs. On the ring finger there is a slightly sheer effect, I added some pearlescent white nails at the base and the tip.
The studs are really easy to apply, I used a dotting too on a wet polish, then seal it with a clear top coat.

I will use these sequins in other nail art for sure, I think they are a great deal because you get 6 boxes in different colours for a very low price.

The listing on the site says that it is an "eco friendly" nail polish. In fact it does not smell as a normal nail polish. I don't have a list of ingredients to show you but I guess it is a water base nail polish similar to the Little Ondine ones.

This means that it will be super shiny and glossy but also that it will need a polish base and a top coat to make it last longer.

I think this nail polish has the best result over black. It has a sheer duo chrome tint, The colour shift depends on the light that the surface catches from different angles and sources. It has a bit of purple, blue and green. Moreover there are a lots of  holographic glitters. If you watch this polish over the sunlight you won't believe it's real.

Here is a small video to show how to apply it. It was really hard to catch on camera the shifting effect but believe me :in real life it is even more sprakling and shiny!
