Botanical nailart! Multi layered stamping plate from Born Pretty Store

Hello!
Today I would love to show you another stunning plate from Born Pretty Store.

This brand always updates the collection with the latest trends. In the nail stamping world multi layered stamping plates are the latest innovation. Overlapping nail stamps allow you endless color combinations without the need to wait for a reverse stamp to dry.

With these kind of plates you will need a clear jelly stamper to enable you, to place your nail art more accurately and easily on the nail. With this stamper it is better to use a roller motion to pick up the design perfecly.

The plate is Overprint-L002 #45511 and has beautiful designs.

You can use my coupon code RASX31 for 10% off on www.bornprettystore.com

This plate came in a protective bag with a paper sleeve and the blue protective film. The company is putting a lot of effort in the presentation of the products and I appreciate it a lot.

I think this plate is very well edged. Each design transfers easily and was extremely sharp as you can see from the pictures.

As you can see from the pictures the stamping plate have many botanicals designs such as monstera palm, banana leaf, areca palm, a lotus flowes and many others.
It offers many decorations that you can mix and match. I love it!

As you can see each leaf or flower design has three different layers, one is the plain base colour, than you will add a second layer in a different colours with some details, then you will add an outline with a contrasting colour.

I used green for most of the leaves, then I added the details in gold or dark brown and the outline in black. This plate should be a perfect one for autumn too, you just need to swtich the colours from green to brown and yellow!

The stamping polishes I used are both from Born Pretty Store, the gold is  BP-WN01 In Fire, and the black is BP-WN03 Throne  #42857. They stamp perfectly and they are my favourite stamping polishes so far.

I hope you liked this nailart!

Born Pretty Store flakies review!

Today I have a super sparkling review for you!
The company Born Pretty Store has been so nice to send me some products to try for you.
It is a set of 5 boxes of iridescent flakies!
I have tried iridescent flakies before and I love them. these ones are a bit different because the flakies are smaller and in the set you will have all colours available.

They all comes in nice jars that contains approx. 1g of products.
In the jar they all look pretty the same, a white iridescent colour with a delicate hint of colour but I the effect on different base colour is amazing!

It is very easy to use this product:
They don't require a special base or top coat  but it is recommended to use these flakies over a dark nail polish for a more vivid effect.
Apply a layer of gel or regular polish and while it is still sticky add flakies on top using a fan brush or the little sponge you find in the box (it looks like an eyeshadow applicator).   Maybe you should let the polish dry for a few a minutes.  The polish should be tacky but not completely wet.  I then dipped my  brush into the pot of flakies and then dabbed onto my nail. If you don't have a brush you can use your fingertip.
Apply a thick layer or two of your favorite top coat to finish.
You can use matte or glossy top coat.

Each one will have a different colour shift

Can't decide which is the best top coat for this nail style.

As you can see on black the colour shift is amazing.

                                                        A beautiful jade green

                                                               an amber yellow

                                                      a deep blue purple

a beautiful duochrome light purple and green

The last jar is not iridescent but it is pure holo!

If you decide to give this product a try please don't forget to use my coupon code, it will give you another 10% off:    RASX31 on www.bornprettystore.com

You can buy it here:

It took almost few seconds you will have way more flakies than you could get with a flakie top coat nail polish.  You can see how the flakies vary in size which gives a really nice effect.

Around the world! Old postcard nail art!

Hello there!

Summer is the best time of the year to go travel the world! The only side effect of travelling is that it ends soon and you'll be back home with only photos to look back on!
But why don't we use our nails as a nice reminder of our trip around the world?!

That's what I thought when I saw this little wonderful stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.

You can find it at this link for only 1.59 usd :http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-round-stamping-plate-globe-scenic-spot-travel-55cm-nail-image-plate-p-39697.html

At the center of the plate there is a Earth design it is surronded by a landscape with all the most famous monument from all over the world: there is the Tour Eiffel, the Coloseum, the Statue of Liberty, The Big Ben and many more. There all also smaller travel inspired deisgn such as trains, airplane, luggage etc...

I already did some landscapes nail art (link)so I wanted to try something different.

I was inspired by an old illustrated atlas and some old post cards.
As base I used a cream colour nail polish and I created some stains with acrylic paint in grey and browm, then I stamped with a brown nail polish.

The result is very unique and with no effort because the plate is very well engraved and the images are so detailed that they tranfer very easly.
You can pick your favourite monument or only use the map design, as you can see I used both.

You can also create a nail art with all the places you would like to visit in the future! I'm sure this will bring you good luck!

Where have you been this summer? Let me know in a comment!

Boho chic nails

Boho chic is a fashion trend that is a mix of bohemian and chic. It is part of the vintage phenomenom in fashion where the trend was to bring back old  styles for the modern era. Boho chic combines organic, colorful, detailed, folk-inspired  induments with simple, modern pieces.
Sunshine and summertime activities always bring out my inner bohemian self and the love for light and whimstical pattern.
I have recently received an amazing plate from Born Pretty Store (www.bornprettystore.com). This was perfect for the look that I had in mind.

If you want to buy it you can find it at this link:
http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-126cm-rectangle-stamping-template-floral-design-manicure-nail-image-plate-l051-p-36309.html

The stainless steel plate measures 6.5 x 12.5cm and have a vinyl backing for increased ease of use. Each plate comes in its own branded protective sleeve. The designs are engraved on to the image plate and covered with a protective film which needs to be removed before use.
The plate is made up by various sized designs, all representing mandalas or similar shapes, A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol. In common use, "mandala" has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents  symbolically the universe.

I thought this plate was perfect for a boho-hippie look!
As you can see the desis are really thin and detailed.I used a white polish as base and different shades of polish mixed together to stamp. i only stamped half nail, on the other half I applied some shattered glass cellophane pieces.

Here is a small video to show how well the plate is engraved and how to create a gradient stamping effect mixing some colours on the plate.

Secret garden nail art! Vintage flora nail art.

Hello!
Today I'm here to show a new nail art!
Few days ago I received a nail mail full of new item from Born Pretty store www.bornprettystore.com.
This stmping plate has inspired me immediately.

The packaging has a beautiful floral patter too.

Image Plate BPL-62

This plate is perfect for spring and summer.
I was amazed by the details and how it is deeply and well engraved so that the design will transfer perfecly on the nail.

You can use my coupon code at check out to get 10% off RASX31 on www.bornprettystore.com

The designs are big enough to cover larger and longer nails but you can also select a small part of the image and stamp it on smaller nails,

I have a lots of plates with flower motif but I have never seen such a variety of spieces.
It has many flower species: cyclamen, hibiscus, daises, cala lily, daffodils, gladiols and roses.

Here is a small stop motion video

For this nail art I wanted to use all the designs available on this plate.
So I thought I wanted to give the effect of a vingtage nail art inspired by the book "The secret garden".

I started off with a dusty pink base nail polish on all nails and then I randomly added some staines and strokes in mauve, grey, and gold tones. I concentrated the colours on the edges of the nails so that it looks like aged ink and old paper.

I let it dry and I sealed it with a clear mat top coat. Then I stamped the flower patterns with a burgundy /mauve nail polish.

For some designs I did a reverse colouring technique: I filled some flowers and some butterflies with a light pink colour to add more depht to the designs.

Here are some pictures that show different solutions I tried on some fake nails.

I hope you'll like it!
