Silver stamping polish from Born Pretty Store!

Hello!
Today I have some new products to talk you about.
This new year resolution is all about improoving my stamping skills, so I am trying different products to make this process as easy as possibile.

If you’re into nail stamping, you know the struggle of finding reliable stamping nail polishes, some might work with some stampers and not with others, others works only on light shades.

In the last few months I have been trying some stamping polishes from Born Pretty Store (stamping thermal polish reviews in this post and this post) so I decided to order many others colours to test them with different plates.

I have tried 3 shades of the collection BP-WN04 Pure (the white),BP-WN03 Throne  (the black), BP-WN02 Time Fly (the silver).

You can use my coupon code at check out to get 10% off RASX31 on www.bornprettystore.com

They all come in a 9ml bottle with a brush applicator, all of them are very pigmented, are ideal for stamping over dark colours and only require one coat. they are all opaque and this is a plus in stamping polish because matte formulations transfer very good on the stamper.

I am positively surprised by these polishes, the first one I am going to review is the one called BP-WN02 Time Fly , it is a beautiful chrome silver, very shining and rich.

For this shade I wanted a modern and geometric design. I used this plate and this plate number BPL-027

I used a blue polish with a flakies top cat as base as I feel that's the best way to see how pigmented this shade performs.

.I'm very impressed with this silver stamping polish as it offers amazing colour payoff, it is almost like a mirror chrome!
The designs tranfer perfectly,  you can see how clean the stamped designs is, no matter how intricate the stamping plate.

Silver and blue geometric nail art!

Hi again!

As I promised you, here is a special nail art tutorial for you!
I had pretty much fun with this one, I used a ring set (see previous post) as my main inspiration!

The two main colours are blue and silver.

I wanted to recreate the geometric design that are engraved on the rings.
I love geometric patterns but they are really hard to draw free hand, you need a steady hand and plenty of time to work on it.
So I end up using this wonderful plate from Born Pretty Store that I have already reviewd in this post.

For the best result I suggest you to use a clear jelly stamper so you will be sure to place the image exactly on the center of the nail and the gometric look won't be ruined.

I used the lates Clear Jelly stamper from Born Pretty Store.

The company send it to me for a review. It is 3.9 cm in diameter. It has a clear and resistant horder  and it comes with a plastic flexible scraper.
I can say with no doubt that it is best I have tried so far.

The first thing I noticed about this stamper is that it has a cap, this is a great idea because it is easier to store it, I'm always worried to damage the jelly head. It is a clear marshmallow head, very big and soft and it covers even longer and larger nails.
The most important suggestion I have for this kind of stamper is: "please do not primer it". You don't have to file it or mattify it with pure acetone otherwise you will make clear head foggy and unclear,
In my opinion the best way to clean it is with the help of some tape.

I've filmed some small videos that show you how this stamper works, how it picks up the image and transfers the design on the nail. It works perfectly.

I added a couple of rhinestones and studs similar to ones in the ring set.

I hope you like it!

Best wishes,

Laura

Graffiti nail foil!

Hello again!
While seaching for holo/shattered/glass foil I have tried many many foils!
The one that I used in this nail art is from Born Pretty Store , I have n 165, this pattern has a marble/rainbow effect it is iridescent and beautiful. The foil is almost a 1 m long and 4 cm wide.

You can use my coupon code at check out to get 10% off RASX31 on www.bornprettystore.com

This kind of foil is meant to cover the whole nail with a special glue for foils. I have one fro Ciatè but I found it very tricky to use so I applied it only on the middle finger.

For the rest of the nails I went for a graffity/distressed look easier to achieve. You can use a normal clear nail polish, you can apply one coat over the colour you want and when it is almost dry (it has to be a bit tacky) you press the foil onto the nail, rub a bit and remove quickly the foil. Some random pieces of foil should be on your nails.

As base you can use any colour you want but I prefer dark shades with this kind of foils.

I hope you'll like the result!
Se you soon!

Bright nail art with water decals!

Hello everyone!
Summer is almost ended! Even thought it's raining right now I still feel in the mood for colourful nail art!
So today I have some Born Pretty Store decals to review for you.
This product was kindly sent by the company.

You can use my coupon code at check out to get 10% off RASX31 on www.bornprettystore.com

Even if I love doing my nail art with stamping tools or free hand I am always looking for new ways to make cool designs easly and quickly. With these nail decals you can achieve a big effect with a small effort.

This sheet of water decals is very particular and graphic, the shades are lovely and bright they shift from yellow, green, orange to a nice red.

You can find it at this link
 http://www.bornprettystore.com/sheet-irregular-pattern-water-decals-gradient-color-nail-transfers-stickers-p-21457.html

How to use:

This kind of decals are meant to cover the entire nail so it's always better to use a base, a neutral colour or as in this case, a colour that can make the decal stand out.
In my opinion the best choice for this one is a white nail polish.

Then you can cut the decals in a shape that match your nails and remove the plastic top.
This step is very important because if you don't remove the plastic film you will have an unusable water decal.

Soak the piece of the pattern in water for few seconds and then remove the decal off the backing.

Place it on the nail, smooth the surface and be careful, you might create some air bubbles. It's a good tip to dab the eccess of water with a tissue (or you can blow dry).

Seal the design with a clear top coat.
You can cut the eccess of the decal with some scissors or remove it carefully with a small brush and some nail polish remover.

I hope you'll love the result!

That's all for now!
Bye

Gold clovers for spring!

Hi there!
Sping is in the air and I felt in the mood for a bold and elegant nail art.
As base I've used Essence 01 Mauve like a rockstar from the limited edition Rebels. This is a pink/taupe colour with a mixture of brown and purple. This nail polish has a latex finish, it's a semi matte (not too matte not too shiny). This shade has also a bit of shimmer that prevent it from looking complete flat and dull.
I've found this look very interesting and for this reason I didn't use any top coat to cover this effect.
I decided to stamp with Barry M Gold.

I used Born Pretty Store plate for stamping BP plate 50

I chose the  the clovers design, it's very intricate and delicate perfect for a spring nail art. In fact, under the sun light the effect of the gold polish combined with the latex finish stands out a lot.
It's very easy to stamp with Born Pretty Store plates, all images are well engraved and don't require cleaning after each transfer.
I highly reccomend this BPS plate. You can find it at this link.
