The colour that I have chosen is number "DT12 Truth of lie" a dark black with a brown and burgundy understone  in cold environment and a very light nude in hot temperature.

I was very curious to try some colour changing gel polish because you can have two different styles in a moment, your nail polish will change throught out the day a lot of times and most of the time it will create an ombrèe effect between the two colours.

I really love the transition between the two colours it creates a beautiful effect and the thermal polish who can shift from dark to light are very rare.

The fact that it is a gel nail polish makes the colour changing more durable and the nail art last longer

.

It very easy to apply it:

Fully shake up the polish, it can make the polish color be balanced. 

Apply a thin layer of Base Coat and cure under nail lamp.

Apply 1st layer of Thermal Gel and cure under nail lamp again.

Apply 2nd layer of Thermal Gel and cure under nail lamp again.

Apply No Wipe Gel Top Coat and cure under nail lamp again. Or regular Top Coat but remove the tacky surface with cotton soaked with cleanser or 95°alcohol after curing.

This a very nice tiny plate, it has a variety of flowers and plants.
In the first row you find some single flower elements in the second and the first you find delicate and well drawn botanical elements,

Flower designs are very trendy this year and you can add different elements in your nailart.
The plate is very beautiful, it has 15 floral designs, some a more stylized and other more realistic, I think they made happy any flower lovers with this tiny and cute plate. The plate measures  approx. 6*6cm, the images are larger and longer enough to fit larger and longer nails.
The plate comes in a nice paper sleeve and has a blue protective film that needs to be removed before use. The designs are very well engraved on to the stainless steel image plate, images are precise with sharp edges. I had no trouble picking them up.

Elegant Halloween

Happy Halloween's Eve!
I feel I have already done many Halloween designs, the spooky night, the monster nails, zombie nails....this year I wanted something more sofisticated but still uncanny.

For this nail art I have decided to use this Born Pretty Store stamping plate. It is plate Texure L001 id code #46961 . It is a plate that is compltetely dedicated to marble designs. It is perfect to create an iper realistic marble veins desegn, or even opal or rose quartz or turquoise effect.


On the bottom part it has different marble pattern, in negative and positive so you can stamp on dark and light colours, it has also a design that mimic the water marble effect, so cool right?
On the top half it has a larger portion with singular marble veins and cracked lines, I think this part is meant to layered with different colours or colours with different opacity and pigmentation. Some marble veins are sheer and translucent.

 In the mood for  Halloween I used this wanderful marble plate to give the idea of veins and vessels.
I manly used the top part. I stamped over a clear fake nails with a pigmented red colour.
The I covered the entire nails with a glossy soak off top coat, then I painted the half of the nail with a dark red soak off polish from Mandam Glam, Queen of hearts. Then I secured the design with another layer of no wipe top coat.

The product I would like to review today is this beautiful stampin plate. It is from the brand Nicole Diary and it is number 104 id code #46772

I adore flower stamping and this place is stunning, there are various flowers designs some roses, dayses, butterflies, cherry blossoms, leaves mixed with geometric elements such as lines, dots, diamonds, triangles and squares.
I really find the kinds of designs very modern and edgy.
The images a really in many different sizes and you can use them orizzontally or vertically to fit any nail size! You can mix some of the desings use the geometric elements as background or add lines next to the flowers pattern, you can also layer many details in different colours.

The plate is made of high quality stainless steal which ensure the high quality of the product.
Deep and precise carving give  better stamping effect than normal stamping plates.

For this nailart  I used a metallic colour as base. It is Day Off from Madam Glam

and for stamping I used my favourite black stamping polish from Born Pretty Store : "Throne" id product # 42857 . This black it's so pigmented, it will stamp perfectly over any colour and it is so easy to pick up and transfer onto the nail.black

Spider gel! So fun!

Today I would like show a very unique product!
The company Born Pretty Store contacted me in order to try some brand new products on their collection.
I wanted to try the spider gels so I give it a go, they have it in many colours: silver, blue, white, gold red and black the one I got. The brand is Nicole Diary and the id code is # 46022.

The product came in a pot with the brand name and the colour, It looks like a really thick gel, and then when you put a little toothpick or something in it, you can draw out a string of the stuff, and drape the gel on the nail. You can draw the finest lines and create geometric designs or you can create some random lines and your nails are instantly transformed in a modern art masterpiece.

You can use a dotting tool and when you took a bit of product it forms a line, it can be thicker or smaller depending of how much product do you use.

Almost an invisible line here. You can strecht it a lot.

It is a gel so you need a UV lamp to use it.
You have to use it over a cured base and a no wipe top coat, don't make the mistake I made to use it over a wet base (the lines will broke and flow, which an interesting effect but not the desired one).
I have decided to apply a no wipe soak off top coat over it.

Just before the spider gel decoration I used some iridescent # 41059 and crome flakies (id # 40147) from Born Pretty Store

I am really curious to try other colours, maybe the metallic ones

Blooming nail art! Ink/ watercolour effect

As you know I have a special love for the water colours/ink effect nailart.
The technique is borrowed from the world of fine art an the result is stunning!
 I’m using the traditional method of ink that you would typically find when painting on paper, it doesn’t require precision.

I have picked two colours the first one is:
BP-HI02 The Soul of Cloud, it is a light pink. In the bottle it appears as a clear orange, but it it will turn pink once you apply it on the nail.

The other colour I picked is the blue:

A light blue that as the previous one appears a lot darker in the bottle.

The clear polish for smudging is from Nicole Diary, a brand that Born Pretty Store sells on its online shop:

These  nailpolish  formula is a lot different from normal ones, it more liquind and thinner and it has a different smell.

Here is a short video tutorial to show you how I used them

Prep the nail and apply two coats of white polish followed (Here I used a glossy top coat but It work better with a matte top coat because it create a better surface to apply colours). You have to careful and apply the white colour evenly with no any brush stokes visible. There should not be any lines on the surface.

When the white polish is completely dry you can start adding few drops of both colours.
Then I applied the transparent blooming polish from Nicole Diary to smudge and create the unique effect.

Let the colours blends and let it dry for a few seconds.

Add other coloured drops if you need to. DO NOT overwork the colors with your brush. Let it dry.

 Apply top coat to seal in the design. As you can see from the video with the top coat the colours will turn a bit lighter and saturated, Keep this in mind when you create  the design.
