Eggshell nails!!!!

Eggshell nailart has been a huge trend of this late year!

The pastel shades with the added speckled eggshell effect is the ideal Easter manicure trend, with a loving ode to mini eggs.

At first this techinique was meant to be done by hand, drawing each tiny dots or with a  wet brush techinque.

Born Pretty Store came out with a wonderful idea, a clear gel polish with small black particles that perfectly creates this effect. I only did one layer but you can add some more product for a more dramatic look. It is a gel polish so you have to cure in the lamp and add a top coat.

You can find it at this link:

Id code #50992

I think it is best to use a pastel or light colour with these kinds of gels. I am also curious to see how it will look with a matte top coat.

I love the fact that my nails look like tiny chocolate eggs.

Artist's Galaxy

Hello!
Today I have another amazing product to show you.
It's a beautiful plate from Born Pretty Store .

This plate is part of the Artist collection and it is number L005 and you can easily find it with the code 46155.
It is very creative and has 24 designs. I love the fact that it has bigger designs and smaller designs so you can fit any nail size. The designs are mix between human figures and abstract object or natural elements.  There are some designs that are clearly inspired to the tattoo's world (such as the ones with the dagger, the skeleton hand, the gun with the rose).
Others are inspired by contemporary art, the design of the man with the hat and the dove is inspired by a painting Man in a Bowler Hat, 1964 by Rene Magritte.
The design of a woman and a triangle over her face reminds me of Marylin Monroe and her images used by the Pop art.
The design with the medusa reminds me of ancient riman art and the Versace logo.

These nail stamping plates are deeply etched and easily work with any stamper and nail polish.

You can get a 10% discount at @bornprettyofficial using my code: RASX31

For this nailart I was inspired by the center design, the two figures embracing with the stars background.

You can get a 10% discount at @bornprettyofficial using my code: RASX31

For stamping I used BP-WT04 called "The noon sunshine". It is the perfect "blue Tiffany shade" a light blue with a touch of green. Very delicate and bright at the same time.

Festival boho nail art with Beauty Big Bang water decals

While everybody on instagram is getting ready for Coachella and summer festivals I am here with the blanket and a migraine! But I wanted to do something boho and cool at least on my nails!
Super simple and fast look with these waterdecals from @beautybigbangs @beautybigbangreview id product #J9908-1C
You can find it here:

You can use my coupon code LAURA for 10% off
www.beautybigbang.com

There is a wide range of water decals and designs, I am sure you will find the right one for you.

The decals show some abstract pattern, it is inpired by nature and animals but has a minimal and boho touch.
The design print is perfect, printed in hight resolution, lines are very sharp. I am a huge fan of water decals in general! They are super easy to use and you can spice up your nails instantly with intricate looking designs. They are also a great alternative to stamping when you want a professional look in a few minutes.

The application is very easy.
The waterdecals are protected by a transparent sheet. You can select the size and the design you want, cut it with a scissor. Don't forget to remove the plastic sheet. Cut out the section of decals, and let it soak in room temperature water for about 15-30 seconds, slide the decals off the paper backing with tweezers and place on the nails with the white or nude base coat
The instructions suggest to place it on  the nail and dry with a tissue. The last step is to secure it with clear nail polish.

New York Nightscape graffiti nail art!

Hi again!

as you know a few days ago i received a nail mail from Born Pretty Store. They sent me some items for a review and I always get inspired by their products.
The company let me choose amog a large range of nail decals and I was struck by the beauty of these nightscape decals.
Whithin one sheet you have four city landascapes (Barcelona, Tokyo, New York and Paris) and each has 3 different versions: one in black, one minimalistic with a black line and a colourful one.
They work well on light colours as well as dark ones.

You can use my coupon code at check out to get 10% off RASX31 on www.bornprettystore.com

I tried the coloured skyline of New York over a white polish and the result is stunning, I did a small and easy nail art on the index finger: with a small brush I applied a small amount of acrylic paint, i used the same shades of the decals and I applied the little "NY" written.

I have cut some stripes horizontally and placed them on the nails.
Once you have cut the design you have to remove the plastic top.
This step is very important because if you don't remove the plastic film you will have an unusable water decal.
Soak the piece of the pattern in water for few seconds and then remove the decal off the backing.
Place it on the nail, smooth the surface and be careful, you might create some air bubbles. It's a good tip to dab the eccess of water with a tissue (or you can blow dry).
Seal the design with a clear top coat.
You can cut the eccess of the decal with some scissors or remove it carefully with a small brush and some nail polish remover.

I hope you like this nail look!

Have a nice day

Light blue and embossed gold decoration

Hello!
it's nail mail time today! The site Born Pretty Store sent me some wonderful products to try, give my honest opinion and review for you.
The first products that I would like to mention is a sheet of embossed stickers in gold.
I chose a flower pattern number 53 .
You can find it a this link http://www.bornprettystore.com/sheet-embossed-texture-stickers-gold-silver-flower-grid-pattern-nail-stickers-decals-p-23155.html
or with the ID # 23155.

These are quite different from the others stickers you might find elsewhere because you get a large sheet and you can trim and select the area you want on your nails.
The design is quite detailed the sticky part is trasnparent and the decoration in relief is in a beautiful gold.
They are quite easy to use since they are self adhesive, you can apply them directly onto your nails over a layer of well dried nail polish and the seal with your favourite top coat. You must be careful to apply the stickers flat otherwise it will chip.

This nail art is an example on how you can turn a simple manicure to a sophisticated nail art with simple steps. This sitcker can look good with both light and dark colours.
As base I used an indie polish brand by Parrot Polish in the shade Exclusive Joyful. I received a collection of their nail polishes as a contest prize in collaboration with Scra2ch. I will write about the experience in another post!

Tribal nude nails!

Hello there!
today I would like to review another product from Born Pretty Store .
It's a tribal pattern water decal sheet.

Tribal or ethnic prints have become a trend in fashion clothing, nail art and home decor. I appreciate this trend because it gives the possibility of a delicate transition between traditional and modern style. I love to wear colourful geometric pattern on my nails in summer but I think this black and white decoration is gorgeous in winter too.

You can use my coupon code at check out to get 10% off RASX31 on www.bornprettystore.com

If you order this product you will receive an entire sheet of water decals, the pattern is very particular, it reminds me of an aztec drawing in black with a white background. The white background is not sheer at all, this means that you can use it with a dark base too.

The designs are in different sizes, if you want you can use the large one to cover an entire nail or cut the sheet and play with your imagination like I did in this nail art.

I have cut some stripes horizontally and placed them on the nails leaving some space.

I decided to use a pink nude shade as base, but I think this decals will look good on dark polish too.

I added some triangular 3d decorations in gold and bright pink and matched the look with a midi-ring.

Let me know what do you think about this nail art!

Thanks for reading,

Laura
